The Cadre Of Finland 2016

Last weekend, we told you about the cadre clinic in Finland. It was a great weekend for all the vaulters and the coaches. Now the decisions are made. Finland has an A and B cadre now. In the A cadre there are only individuals. The aim is to create an international competing squad within the next few years. The B cadre is called “The Challengers”. They could move up to A when they show very good performances at CVIs.

They will compete internationally next year. As you can see in the list below, there are not many seniors among the vaulters. Most of the athletes are very young. So, Finland wants to compete at CVIs next and potentially at the championships but maybe we will see a gap after that. They see their greatest potential in the youngest vaulters.

So the cadre is a long-term investment into the future. We are expecting some Finish participants at the championships in a few years!
