Not all national championships of 2016 took place so far, yet Finland started the national selection already. More than thirty vaulters meet in the national horse centre in Ypäjä this weekend. Most of them are individuals, but a squad of a local club was also invited. They are trained by several national coaches. The schedule consists of training for the horse, gymnastics, vaulting and theoretical training. On Sunday, the FEI4* judge Karolina Wickholm will select the A and B cadre of Finland.
It is not only a training camp for the small discipline vaulting. They are together with the best dressage riders in Ypäjä who have a clinic with German Olympic dressage rider Helen Langenberg.
This is only the second post by VaultingNews about Finland. The first one was about the journey of a vaulting horse. I really hope that we will hear more about them in the future.
