Our next stop during the “Selection Trial 101” series is in Poland. It was amazing to see Poland returning onto the international stage with a senior team last year. Since then the team grew. Now 2 horses, 3 junior individuals, 3 senior individuals & the senior squad are part of the polish team. They are still trained by Gero Meyer from time to time. They had a clinic with him in winter, the next one will be in March.
The bar is set at 6.5 for them by the national association. The polish squad has to reach this score in a CVI3* twice to be allowed to compete in Le Mans. This means they have to improve their perfomance compared to last year when they reached a 6.0 & a 6.2. The individuals have to fulfil the FEI regulations, which means the seniors have to reach the 6.5 twice & the juniors once in a CVI.
I am out of information about selection trials in different countries now. So, please tell us about your country.
