Journal: Vaulting Press Of Week 8

This week’s link list is pretty short. Everyone is in the last preparations for the season in Europe, so, not much to write about in the newspapers:

{New Zealand} The vaulters from New Zealand are preparing a show. The sport is not very well known in their country. The number of 600 teams in Germany is wrong. There are 1125 canter groups & I guess at least the same number of walk groups in Germany.

{New Zealand} Report of a fundraising & vaulting show.

{Germany} Résumé about the Voltigier Trophy Süd leg by the club from Metelen. They always have liked the early start into the season even when the highlights are in August or Spetember. They don’t train the whole freestyle at home but only parts to spare the horse. They put them together in the competition for the first time.

{Germany} The club in Ammerland was able to buy a new horse which was financed out of donations.

{Germany} Annual general assembly of the club from Whedem-Oppendorf. They honored all the good results of the vaulters.

{Germany} Schleswig-Holstein initiated a colaboration between schools & sports clubs. It is financed out of donations. The coaches offer their training also in schools so that the children will switch to the clubs later.

{Germany} The Hessian D-Kader (Greigenstein & Hungen) did a clinic with the Austrian vaulter Stefan Csandl. They trained on the “Movie” which Greifenstein bought lately.

{Germany} Two women bought a farm & opened among others a vaulting school. Normally, these kinds of lessons are organized in clubs in Germany. They are offering it on a private base.
