This year equestrian vaulting will have an European Junior Championship & a Senior World Championship. Both will be hold in Le Mans, France, from August 18 – 21, 2016. So far so good. But who can take part?
From every country
- 3 female & 3 male individuals,
- 2 pas de deux &
- 1 squad
can qualify for the events. The countries don’t have to fill all places. For some countries it is easy to chose, because they don’t have many vaulters, but how does Germany or the USA decide who will get one of the rare positions? We will clarify this in the next posts of this small series.
Today we have to take one step back. To be allowed to be nominated by your country, you have to fulfil the FEI rules. The individual & PDD vaulters have to reach a 6,5 or for European individuals two times a 6,5 in CVIs of the current season / in 2016. The seniors have to reach the result as a final score because they have only one round. The juniors can submit a result of one round, which is compulsory & freestyle.
