Throwback To The Time When The Coaches Vaulted

Vaultige Videos did a great job this week with uploading vaulting videos from 1985 till 2001. This was 20 years ago & many of these vaulters are coaches today. Let’s take a look how vaulting was back then, but especially how the trainers did on the horse.

Ingelsberg

Let’s start with the coach from the vautling club Ingelsberg. His freestyle from 1992:

Lüttisburg

The Queen of vaulting, who won 6 German, 3 European & 3 world champion titles, Nadia Ehning (maiden name Nadia Zülow) is now helping the girls from Lüttisburg every now & then. Her stunning freestyle from her last active year, 2003:

Germany

Since 2012, he is the German “discipline coach vaulting”. In his active career he earned 4 world championship & 5 European championship medals. Furthermore, he was 8 times German champion. His first international medal was the silver one from 1997:

Cologne

The Swiss vaulter who won the world championships in 2010 is now coach in Cologne. There is talk of Patrick Looser. Long before his European & world champion title he took part in the continental championships in 2001:
