Poll: Extra Time For World Cup Freestyles

Since the new World Cup season started the rules were changed fundamentally. The very few individual competitors that are allowed to take part in the World Cups have to show not a 60 seconds but a 80 seconds freestyle. This means they need two programs with two musics for “normal” competitions and the World Cup. How do you train it? Most freestyles looked as they took the normal one & stretched it a little bit. So, they are doing not more & one fourth of the time is waiting. I love good freestyles with a show character but is it possible to force people to do so? How is the cost-benefit ratio? How much extra work do you need for a new routine? How do the horses feel about it? Another point are the rules. Many people who don’t watch vaulting often, especially parents, tell me they don’t get the scores. Makes this expansion of time it more complicated? To compare it more realistic, I think to add a compulsory would be better. Everywhere the basics vanish which makes the sport more complicated to compare.

I added a poll below. Please don’t hesitate, do add your own answers or discuss it with us in the comments or on Facebook.
